Poor Man’s Friend as a brand is recognised for their interesting vintage arrangements, eclectic musical influences and tight-professional productions. Taking inspiration from stateside labels like Daptones, Big Crown and Colemine, Poor Man’s Friend focuses on putting out quality material from artists that have been established since the 1970s and 1980s. Predominantly Poor Man’s Friends output consists of music inspired by the Roots period, taking inspiration from labels such as Studio 1, Joe Gibbs, Sunshot, Channel 1 and many more.
