The story begins in 2000 in Brittany (France). Two guys decide to create a sound system to share their common passion for roots reggae and early digital. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Rootystep<\/span><\/span><\/span> (selecta) and <\/span><\/span><\/span>Mac Gyver<\/span><\/span><\/span> (operator) begin to collect records and purchase music equipment. They are quickly joined by <\/span><\/span><\/span>Pupajim<\/span><\/span><\/span> who becomes the MC, the singer and the official dub builder of the crew. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Stand High Patrol<\/span><\/span><\/span> first toured the land of Brittany, gradually moving towards dub production emanating from England. A solid twenty years later, after the release of five albums and the arrival of Merry and his trumpet, the sound is more present than ever. Stand High has created a true musical identity and has established itself as one of the essential sound systems of the international dub movement.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The identity of Stand High Patrol comes from the unique voice of its singer and the distinctive character of its dub. Known as \u201cDubadub\u201d, their style is defined as a subtle fusion of dub, bass music and reggae. Over the years, the sound has evolved, integrating personal and eclectic influences into their music \u2014 from trip hop, jazz and techno to new wave and hip hop. Hybrid, open and ever-evolving, Dubadub attracts devoted dub and reggae enthusiasts as well as listeners from far beyond the reggae\/dub sphere.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In 2009, Stand High Patrol launched their own label, \u201cStand High Records\u201d, releasing several singles and 12-inch records. In 2012 the Dubadub Musketeerz unveiled their self-produced debut album, <\/span><\/span>Midnight Walkers<\/span><\/span><\/em> \u2014 now regarded as a classic of the genre. In 2015, they returned with their highly anticipated second album, <\/span><\/span>A Matter of Scale<\/span><\/span><\/em>, surprising listeners with strong jazz influences. Two years later, in 2017, their third album, <\/span><\/span>The Shift<\/span><\/span><\/em>, entirely dedicated to Boom Bap and a tribute to the Hip Hop sounds of the \u201990s, hit the shelves. This was followed in 2018 by <\/span><\/span>Summer on Mars<\/span><\/span><\/em>, a dub\/future soul album recorded with Marina P, and in 2020 by the LP <\/span><\/span>Our Own Way<\/span><\/span><\/em>. At the end of 2025, after several acclaimed singles and 12-inch releases \u2014 including collaborations with Joe Yorke, Marina P, and Susan Cadogan \u2014 the Dubadub Musketeerz present their sixth album: <\/span><\/span>Underground Oasis<\/span><\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
